The name of the restaurant Lena’s Bar & Kitchen comes from the owner Aniello Lena, as his family name.
Aniello was born in sunny southern Italy, the home of pizzas! His love began for pizza making when he was 14 years old, helping his parents in them traditional family restaurant.
He wanted to make the best pizza in the world so he went to a school in Naples to learn everything about the art of pizza making.
He has always loved participating in competitions; He’s most proud of being awarded tenth position in the 2014 Pizza World Championship held in Naples.
Aniello, after having worked for many years in several restaurants and pizzerias all over Sydney and London decided to start his own adventure. So after working with his own hands on everything, Lena’s Bar & Kitchen finally opened its doors to the public on 11th of November 2016.
Our Traditional wood fired oven is built by Neapolitan artisans and it’s made brick by brick to reach heat of more then 450 degrees.
The food served in Lena’s Bar & Kitchen, is exactly same as the food you can eat on the streets of Naples, using the same ingredients and adopting the same cooking methods.
What’s our secret? Our tomato sauce is freshly made every morning and our pizza dough is slow raised for 20 to 30 hours using the authentic Italian flour "Caputo". The pizza is then topped with our freshly delivered products and baked for 60 seconds in our wood fire oven at 450 degrees.
We are open 11.30am-11pm everyday.
except we are closed on Mondays.
